Playing with White . . .

I enjoy working with white encaustic paint. In the final process of this painting "Winter Calm," I rub dark oil paint over the painting. The oil paint highlights the wonderful texture of the encaustic wax and creates a great stone look.

"Rainbow FLOWERS" is another white encaustic painting. The flowers in this painting have a raised texture and really "pop-out" on the white encaustic background. Both of these new paintings will be in my shop soon.
