New Encaustic Paintings Celebrating Spring

We have had such a mild winter here in the Pacific Northwest. Everything is in full bloom right now. The colors and the clear blue sky has inspired me to create some paintings celebrating our beautiful Spring. This is a cute mixed media butterfly encuastic mini painting done in yellows with a bit of gold leafing.

A trio of soft and dreamy mini encaustic bird paintings in blues and yellow.

Pink Blossoms against a Turquoise Sky. This mixed media photo painting, in blues and pinks, is on a cradle back frame.
It measures 5" x 7" x 2".
Make A WISH in blue and white encaustic paint. It too is  painted on a 5" x 7" x 2" cradle back frame.

Here is a trio of "tiny" encaustic paintings called Going Out With My Friends. Each painting in this group measures 2" x 1 1/2" x 1/2". These tiny paintings can be hung or they look adorable sitting on a desk or bookshelf.

A grouping of small encaustic paintings. Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Hello Marisol,
Yes, I use photos in some of my paintings. The pink blossoms and the dandelion are both original photographs with encaustic paint. :)
