Down by the Sea

I've been working on a new series of encaustic paintings.

I have mentioned in the past how with encaustic painting one can create some fantastic textures. Well, with this series of sea side paintings, I am exploring a variety of textures and use of mixed media in the paintings.

I have some wonderful ocean treasures I will be incorporating in my paintings like these pretty little shells I found in Mexico a few years ago.
