it takes courage to grow up and become who you really are

I love this quote by E.E. Cummings.

In this mixed media encaustic painting I have incorporated some fabric along with a variety of vintage papers, my original photos and a fun color combination of orange and turquoise.

This quote applies to everyone, but I think it is so true for women.  It is very hard to take this risk and be ones-self. I feel so many women are tying to please others - first their parents, then their friends, then their boyfriends and finally their spouses. I truly takes courage - to become who you really are.
