Paris Love

The Eiffel Tower is a wrought iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris.
Built in 1889 as the entrance arch to the 1889 World's Fair.
This is a new mixed media encaustic painting of this lovely Paris landmark.
I created this lattice structure using pages from a vintage French book.
Cutting the paper to the correct size and piecing the tower together took some time, but as the tower took shape it became fun. It was rather meditative and I really like the end result.
I will be offering this original piece in my Etsy shop as well as prints of this encaustic painting.

  1. So many little pieces of paper! You have great patience! I want to see Paris some day and your lovely art make me want to go all the more.

  2. That's fabulous! I agree with Lisa, you have great patience.

  3. Gorgeous artwork! Have a lovely end of the week, Kellie xx

  4. Thank you all for your kind words about this painting. It did take some patience, but I think the final result was worth the time :)
