Green Butterflies . . .

I've been busy creating some new encaustic paintings.

 Here are some encaustic mixed media butterfly pieces.

I stained the wood green and then burnt the wood before I added the clear encaustic beeswax paint and paper butterflies.

I really like the color contrast and texture this technique created.
