Winter wonderland . . .

I've been working on some new mixed media encaustic paintings. In this winter snow painting I have used some lovely blues and white encaustic paint.

I created a some wonderful "snow and ice" texture with the encaustic wax.

I also incorporated a piece of vintage lace into the painting creating an pretty pattern.

I'm still  learning how to photograph my white paintings. The white in the photograph is not as bright as the original painting. This painting is really quite nice and my photography does not do it justice.
