Winter TREES

In this painting, I created a great "bark" texture with a blowtorch and wood glue. I did this technique on the frame of the painting as well as at the bottom of the painting. To create this look I smear on wood glue and then burn the glue with the blowtorch.  I love the look of tree trunks in a forest in the winter and the burnt wood texture is a great contrast to the white wax.

  2. What a beautiful piece and how amazing that you created such a 'cold' landscape with a blowtorch! I love the thought of that. Fabulous artwork! Blessings!!
