A rose by any other name . . .
. . . would smell as sweet.
Romantic pastel rose necklaces
This is a line that Julie speaks in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
A simple definition of this line - it matters what something is, not what it is called.
'Tis but thy name that is my enemy;
Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.
What's Montague? it is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O, be some other name!
What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;
So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd,
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name,
And for that name which is no part of thee
Take all myself.

Art DOLL Birdcage Necklace
I made this fun necklace using a vintage porcelain doll head and a mini birdcage.
Her hat is a re-purposed vintage rhinestone earring.
I added a real moss nest with three turquoise bead "eggs" and a little golden bird. I think she turned out to be a rather cute necklace.
I made this "vase" necklace using an orphaned glass salt shaker.
I thought it would be fun to wear a bit of evergreen or maybe a tiny flower in this vase. I added a pretty re-purposed rhinestone earring, wire and a chain.
This locket pendant is made using an antique pocket watch-face.
A vintage angel charm is added along with a rhinestone.
I really like the rust on the watch-face. It gives this large locket pendant some vintage charm.
